Pruna a small traditional whitewashed village typical of those found in Andalucia, located just over an hours drive from the southern coastal towns of Malaga and San Pedro. Situated between the Sierra de las Harinas and the Sierra del Tierril it offers breathtaking scenery with vast expanses of olive groves and craggy mountains where if you are very lucky sightings of high flying eagles can be made.
The village dates back to 1407 and the people still retain a rare warmth and charm with which they welcome visitors.
Ronda one of Andalucia’s loveliest and most historical towns; for example it has Spain’s oldest bull ring.
It is situated just 50 km from San Pedro on the Costa Del Sol and 40 km from Pruna. Apart from history the town also boasts magnificent natural beauty with the plunging river gorge, El Jorgo, dividing the new town from the old.
Villamartin a pretty and bustling town dating from prehistoric times. It is situated near the edge of the Parque Natural de la Sierra being near to the Rio Guadelete the area is more verdant and makes a pleasant change to the parched plains of the south.
The people are extremely hospitable being mostly employed in agricultural work with also a fair amount of individual craftsmen working in the area.
Ubrique a town with narrow streets of medieval layout, large houses and historical churches. Most famous for its leather products and designer labels. Located in the mountains between the Natural Parks of Sierra of Grazalema and Alcornocales, it is a perfect location to participate in cycling, hiking, absailing and mountaineering.
Olvera located on the White Villages Route, 6 km from Pruna. A small town with a main street and a beautiful castle offering breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. This town is very popular with tourists who flock here year after year to investigate the history of a very exciting but small town.
